Half Term Shenanigans

Well, we’ve made it to our first half term at school. So we took the opportunity of having booked some leave and headed for a long weekend that turned into a week away.

Before leaving though, I applied all the other transfers to the Corris carriages, let them dry out and applied a coat of dulcote. Very impressed with the result, the dulcote has now had a week to set whilst we were away.

In Tywyn, we enjoyed the annual end of season bonfire and fireworks party, spent time with friends and family, plus went on the beach and didn’t let any rain or chilly weather get in our way.

There was also chance for a couple of day’s driving on the Talyllyn.

And we headed north to Porthmadog to visit various emporia and managed to time it (no, my wife didn’t believe me when I said it was chance…) so that we saw and had a ride behind the new double engine.

Back home now and time to crack on with the layout in addition to finishing the Corris carriages.
