Monochrome Monday

Little Giants Refreshed. We spent the weekend in Tywyn, our first visit since October. After a Friday morning spent on the beach making sandcastles (Annabel’s first choice), Annabel spent Saturday with her grandparents whilst we spent our day on the railway. Liz on the hedgelaying gang and I in the loco shed as part of the gang re-assembling Locos 3 & 7 after their winter maintenance. Ashpans, grates, gauge glasses and washout plugs re-fitted, boilers re-filled.  Bunkers, smoke boxes, blackheads and some other parts freshened up with paint all ready for the new season just around the corner. A very enjoyable weekend, the seaside and a spot of volunteering to fuel the soul.
