Food for the Soul

Modelling wise, I’m finding time to sit at the modelling bench for at least half an hour a day, often more, to paint the buildings for Wheal Ponder. I’m slowly getting the hang of acrylic paints and I hope to share a photo or two this week. I’m finding the process to be very therapeutic.

Though no progress over the weekend as we were in Wales again. Met up with friends and family. Took trips to the beach (what there was at high tide but the waves were great), a trip on the Talyllyn for a walk round Dolgoch Falls and a day with my daughter whilst Mum enjoyed a day on the hedge laying gang were all good food for the soul. Great to see the first shoots of spring appearing in the Fathew Valley, the snowdrops are soldiering on and the first daffodils are out.

There was also the realisation that we’re passing on essential life skills to our next generation. Annabel and her buddy may only be four, but they were making sure that the other pulled the signal off before departing with their train in Abergynolwyn station playground. There were two proud engine driving Dads looking on.
