Trent Valley Area Group Modelling Day

The date has been set (had to wait for the Church to finally confirm for us), our 2023 Trent Valley Area Group Modelling Day in Mickleover will be held on 28th January 2023. 

It’s a fun day where a few like minded people bring along their layouts, some built, some works in progress, mostly 7mm scale in various gauges, plus maybe one or two guest layouts of a different scale but narrow gauge and there’s trade support too. Demonstrators will be demonstrating, (or hopefully too busy chatting to do much actual modelling) Ideal if you have a problem loco or hit a stumbling block with your modelling and want to ask the hive mind about what to do. 

Some of the Trent Valley Group members may well be thinning out their STABLE (Stash of kits Beyond Life Expectancy) so you might pick up a bargain. Most importantly there will be tea, bacon sarnies, cake and more tea. 

If you’re available and want to come along it’ll be great to see you there. Personally, I’m looking forward to it. A beacon of light in the cold murky reality of January. A chance to meet up with friends, make new acquaintances and eat my weight in cake. 

Ideal for the novice and the seasoned modeller alike. If you show an interest in a layout there you’re more than likely be handed the controller whilst the operator goes to chat to someone or fetch more tea and cake.
